Player programs
All players being trained in America FC are enrolled in the AFC Academy. So, whether you are a member of an AFC United team or are just enrolled to train, you are all simply soccer students in the AFC Academy. How training at America FC works:

TWO WAYS TO BE INVOLVED
Players can be involved to train only, or to train and play with an AFC United team.
Training only (Academy Program)
Enroll in one of the four skills sessions below: and train along side AFC United players. Academy players are treated exactly like Untied players, with the expect ion of not playing in League Games.
Training, playing on a United team
Consider this option if you are willing and able to train almost year round. United players are participating in a long-term player development program and have mandatory minimum training requirements.

Four Academy Skills Sessions
AFC Academy (Training Only)
The America FC Academy is a "training only" program, designed for players who are interested in improving their play through training. Academy players will train along with United players, and will receive the same level of quality training that everyone in the club receives.  Please see below for quarterly offerings:

United Team programs, activities
AFC United (Training and League Play)
Enrollment is typically done through the tryout process (June for players U9 through HS age and again in November for HS-age players) or open enrollment. United players ...
  • Have minimum weekly training obligations.
  • Train continuously during the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions.
  • Play for an AFC team in a formal organized league during the Fall and Spring seasons and an informal futsal league in Winter.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

U8 Program
This program is designed specifically for 6, 7 and 8 year old players. A quarterly skills session is offered year-round. Please go to U8 Program for details or click the soccer ball to start a registration.
GOALKEEPER Training
The specialized training is offered on a quarterly basis and year-round only to U11 and older players. The program is free during Spring/Fall and offered at $25 during winter to AFC United players. Academy (training only) players can enroll in the program on a quarterly basis. 
PRIVATE SKILLS LESSONS
Director of Coaching, Conrad Whyte, offers private lessons at a discounted rate for AFC Academy students through his training company, Cari-Samba Soccer. Students wishing to receive supplemental training can enroll in private, semi-private, or group lessons, with group lessons being the least costly of the three options.

ACADEMIC TUTORING
We want to make sure our soccer students are also successful in the classroom. U8 Foundations Director Sarah Martin and local elementary teacher offers one-on-one supplemental instruction for players from Kindergarten through sixth grade through her business SG Tutoring.

Please take advantage of this tutoring service especially if your child is having difficulty juggling extracurricular activities and school work. A special discounted tutoring rate is offered to players enrolled in the AFC Academy. To contact coach Sarah or for detailed information, just click her ad on our home page to go to her website.
